FirstPromoter automatically tracks and calculates monetary commissions, both percentage-based and flat fee — through our native integrations with Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly, and Braintree.
Using a different billing provider? You'll need to use our API to track sales automatically (requires a developer).
How to set up a monetary reward
Go to Campaigns in the left menu and click Edit Campaign.
Open the Rewards setup tab and click + Add sale reward → Create new reward.
Set the reward name, enter the commission amount, and select Monetary Commission as the reward type. Toggle between percentage or flat amount using the switch on the right.
Commission length options
Once you've picked Monetary Commission, choose how long the commission runs:
Customer lifetime — the affiliate earns on every charge for as long as the customer stays subscribed. This is the default recurring option.
By time span — commissions are paid for a set number of months (e.g. 12 months). Good if you want recurring but with a cap.
By count — commission is paid for a fixed number of charges. Set it to 1 if you only want to pay out on the first charge (non-recurring).
Variable commission amount over time
Want to offer a different rate after the first month? Select Two levels under "Variable commission amount over time" and configure each level separately — for example, 20% in month 1, then 30% from month 2 onwards.
