Managing agreements

FirstPromoter allows you to set up different affiliate terms and conditions for different campaigns or promoters. If you need custom terms or a separate agreement for a promoter (like for a different commission rate or more relaxed conditions), you can easily apply a custom agreement only for that promoter.

This is for FirstPromoter v2, if you are still using v1, please check this article

When changes are made to an agreement, affiliates must review and accept the new terms before accessing the affiliate dashboard. FirstPromoter automates this process, ensuring a seamless transition.

Recordkeeping for Audits and Legal Compliance

In situations involving audits or legal requirements, FirstPromoter maintains a record of the precise document version the promoter agreed to, along with the agreement date and IP address.

Note: It's crucial to note that FirstPromoter does not provide affiliate terms and conditions templates. This is a legal matter that should be addressed by a qualified lawyer, considering the unique requirements of each company and country.

Setting Up Your Affiliate Agreement

  1. Go to your profile in the upper-right corner and select "Settings";

  2. Access the "Others" tab and click "Manage agreements";

  3. Click "+New agreement";

  4. Enter a name for the agreement and specify the campaigns to which it applies;

  5. Paste the content of the affiliate agreement;

  6. Click the "Preview" button below to verify its correct display;

  7. Click "Save".

Updating an Existing Agreement

  1. Go to your profile in the upper-right corner and select "Settings".

  2. Access the "Others" tab and click "Manage agreements"

  3. Click on the three-dot menu on the specific agreement.

  4. Select "Edit", and make sure to hit "Save" once those changes are made.

We'll recognize the changes as a new version and ask affiliates to re-agree when they go back to the affiliate dashboard.

Each time you edit the affiliate agreement hosted inside FirstPromoter, the affiliate will have to re-agree to it, so please make sure you have the right version before clicking the "Save" button.

However, if you opt for the external link option, we won't be able to verify whether the content has been changed. Therefore, if you make any modifications, you'll need to update the external link on FirstPromoter as well.

Promoters Added by API or Zapier

For promoters added through API or Zapier, if the campaign has an applied agreement, FirstPromoter will prompt promoters to agree when logging in, ensuring compliance with terms.

Monitoring Agreement Status

FirstPromoter allows you to view which promoters have agreed or are pending agreement to your latest version of the agreement. The "Agreed" and "Waiting to agree" columns indicate the count, and the "View documents" button reveals the names of promoters who have or haven't agreed, along with the agreement date.
