If the referral is tracking correctly and you see it appearing as lead in FirstPromoter, but it doesn't turn into a customer in about 2 minutes after the sale, you can check the following just to make sure the integration is completed:

  1. Accessing the Integration

  • Navigate to your profile in the upper-right corner and select "Settings".

  • Proceed to the "Integrations" tab.

  • Scroll down to the "Integrations with third-parties" section.

  • Select "Update" under Stripe to access the integration settings.

2. Checking Stripe Account Connection

  • Verify if the correct Stripe account is connected.

  • Compare the connected Account ID in FirstPromoter with the Account ID in Stripe, accessible through "Settings" > "Account details" > "Account ID".

3. Mode Configuration

  • Ensure that Stripe is configured correctly based on the transaction mode:

    • If using Live Mode, verify that both FirstPromoter and the sale are in Live Mode.

    • If using Test Mode for Stripe, ensure that the integration reflects this setting.

  • In Test Mode, the integration screen should display appropriate indicators.

4. Matching Leads

  • Confirm that the lead details match between Stripe and FirstPromoter:

    • Check if the customer email in Stripe matches the referral email in FirstPromoter.

    • If pre-filling the "uid" on the referral tracking script or API, verify if it matches the Stripe customer ID or the "fp_uid" value on Stripe customer metadata.

5. Payment Verification

  • Ensure that an actual payment has occurred, and it's not a future invoice.

  • Verify that the amount paid is greater than $0.5. Transactions involving 100% coupons or empty invoices won't track.

6. Coupon Code Tracking

  • If utilizing Coupon code tracking, ensure consistency between the invoice's coupon code and the one set on the promotion.

  • The "Coupon Code" field should contain the Coupon ID, not a promotion code. Each promoter should have a unique coupon, and reusing the same coupon ID for multiple promoters is not advisable.

By following these steps and verifying each aspect of the integration, you can effectively troubleshoot any issues encountered during the Stripe integration process with FirstPromoter.
