FirstPromoter offers the flexibility to add custom fields to the affiliate signup page, allowing you to collect additional information from your affiliates during the registration process. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up and manage custom fields on the affiliate sign-up page.

We strongly advise against collecting sensitive information (such as Social Security Number) using the Custom Fields option!!

Accessing Custom Field Settings

  1. Select the "Campaigns" section from the left-side menu;

  2. In the right of the desired campaign, click on the 3 small dots;

  3. Click on the "Configure Affiliate Portal" and select "Signup Page";

  4. Select the "Sign up fields" section and scroll down;

  5. In the "Custom" section, click on the "Manage custom fields" button;


Additionally, you can access "Custom Fields" as well by going to a different section:

  1. In the top right corner, click on your profile section;

  2. Select the "Settings" button;

  3. Click on the "Affiliate portal" tab;

  4. Within this section, look for "Custom fields".

  5. Click on the "Edit fields" button.

Adding Custom Fields

  1. Create a new custom field

    • Select the "+Add New Field" to create a new custom field.

  2. Specify field details

    • Provide details for the new custom field, including the field label, type (single-line text, multi-line text, single choice option or multiple choice option) and any additional settings.

      Note: If you want to set the new custom field as required OR optional, you will have to access the "Configure Sign Up Page" section and make the adjustment there.

  3. Save Changes

    • After configuring the custom field, find and click the "Add" button at the bottom of the page.

Displaying Custom Fields on the Affiliate Signup Page

  1. Configure Signup Page

    • Select the "Campaigns" section from the left-side menu;

    • In the right of the desired campaign, click on the 3 small dots;

    • Click on the "Configure Affiliate Portal" section and select "Signup Page";

    • Select "Sign up fields" and scroll down;

  2. Add the custom fields on the signup page

    • Enable the display of custom fields on the signup page. From there, you can set them as optional or required.

  3. Save Changes

    • Save the changes in the affiliate signup page to ensure that the custom fields are now visible to affiliates during registration.
