Stripe Connect is Stripe's platform product for sending money to other people or businesses — in FirstPromoter's case, your affiliates. Before you can connect Stripe Payouts in FirstPromoter, Connect must be enabled on your Stripe account. If you've never used Connect before, follow the steps below to enable it with the right settings.
Before you start
Make sure you have a Stripe account in live mode. You'll need to be logged in as an account owner or admin to complete the Connect setup.e's account—no manual bank transfers or exported payment files needed.
Enable Stripe Connect
Go to your Stripe Connect dashboard and start the Connect setup. Stripe will ask a few questions about how your platform works.
On How will funds flow on your platform?, select Buyers will purchase from you, then click Continue. Your customers pay you directly, and you send payouts to your affiliates.
On How will sellers be paid out?, select Sellers will be paid out individually, then click Continue. Each affiliate receives their own individual payout.
On Where will sellers create their accounts?, select Onboarding hosted by Stripe, then click Continue. Your affiliates will be redirected to a secure onboarding flow built and hosted by Stripe to enter their details.
On Where will sellers manage their account?, select Express Dashboard, then click Continue. Affiliates get a lightweight dashboard hosted by Stripe where they can manage their payout and identity settings.
On the Review your setup screen, check that your selections match the table below, then click Continue to finish.
