Adding leads or customers manually

FirstPromoter allows you to assign referrals manually to a specific promoter.

Sometimes, promoters may bring in referrals without using their referral link, or the referrals may have signed up from a different device without the affiliate cookie. No worries, you can manually add them. However, this should be an exception – it's generally advisable to remind promoters to use their referral links whenever possible.

The lead should be in the trial/free period when you create it so when the purchase is made, the sale and commission will be attributed correctly to the promoter. After the first payment, the lead will become a customer.

If the lead already made a purchase, you can simply add it as well by selecting "Add commission".

There are two ways on how to add a referral:

  1. From the main Referrals section

  • Go to the "Referrals" section on the left menu

  • Click on the "+New Referral" button in the upper-right corner.

2. From a promoter's Referrals section

  • You can navigate to the "Promoters" overview section

  • Click on the "Referrals" tab

  • Select "+New Referral".

Fill in the Details

  • Enter the necessary information and click "Save";

  • If you want to assign a commission to the new lead, select "Add commission" after clicking "Save".

Note for Stripe users: If your account is connected to Stripe, you’ll see an “Import Stripe Events” option after creating the referral. This will import any past Stripe sales for that customer and automatically generate the corresponding commissions for the affiliate. The UID in the referral details must be entered for this action, which should be the cust_id from Stripe.

By following these steps, you can easily manually add leads for your promoters, ensuring a smooth process for crediting sales and commissions.
