How to block, suspend or archive a promoter

Manage promoter activity in your affiliate program — stop tracking, restrict access, or remove a promoter entirely.

Written by Louis Anghel

There are 3 ways to restrict a promoter's activity in FirstPromoter, depending on what you need. Here's when to use each one:

Block: Stops all tracking for that promoter completely: no clicks, no new referrals, and no recurring commissions from existing customers.

Suspend: Stops tracking new clicks and referrals, but continues tracking sales from customers they've already referred.

Archive: Blocks the promoter across all campaigns and removes their access to the affiliate dashboard. From the promoter's perspective, this is effectively the same as being deleted. Archived promoters can still be found by your team under Promoters → Others tab → Archived.

How to block a promoter?

  1. Go to Promoters in the left menu and open the promoter's profile.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to their name.

  3. Select Campaign actions → Block on campaign.

  4. Choose the campaign and confirm.

To block multiple promoters at once, go to Promoters, select them, then click Campaign actions → Block on campaign.

How to archive a promoter

  1. Go to Promoters and open the promoter's profile.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to their name.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage the activity of promoters in your FirstPromoter account, ensuring optimal performance and tracking within your affiliate or referral program.
